City Council and Mayor
The City Council is comprised of seven elected officials, including the Mayor, who legislate policy and govern the issues related to the City of Myrtle Point. The Mayor is the presiding officer of the Council. The Mayor and Council are elected at-large in non-partisan elections. City Councilors serve four year terms. The Mayor serves a two year term.

Scheduled meetings of the City Council are on the first and third Mondays of the month. (Meetings on the third Monday of the month may be canceled if there is no city business to attend to.) Refer to the City Calendar for an up-to-date meeting schedule. City Council meetings are at 7:30 PM in the meeting room of the Flora M. Laird Memorial Library (435 5th Street, Myrtle Point) unless otherwise announced. All City Council meetings are open to the public.
